Shelter

Our emergency shelters provide a safe, secure and supportive environment for hundreds of individuals experiencing homelessness, including those with complex medical, mental health and substance use needs.

Providing our guests with regular access to personal care items, such as shampoo, deodorant and lotion, helps improve their confidence and self-worth.

Guests rely on public transportation to get to personal appointments, such as doctor’s visits, job interviews, apartment viewings and day programs.

Each shelter guest sleeps in a comfortable bed with a warm comforter, clean sheets and cozy pillows, and receives a fresh set of towels for daily showers.

Ensure a safe night for an individual experiencing homelessness. Each night’s stay includes a comfortable bed, hot meal and access to supportive case management.

Community

Our community programs provide a critical network of support for individuals and families experiencing income or housing instability, including a safe place to spend their day, as well as access to warm meals, health care,
hot showers, lockers, mailboxes and clothing and food pantries.

Individuals experiencing homelessness often walk many miles during the day and rely on sturdy and comfortable boots, which are often available at our clothing pantry.

Many guests arrive at IPH without ID or money to obtain a new one. Our case managers work with guests to get them a new ID, which is needed for bank, housing and employment applications.

Healthy Connections provides a safe and confidential place for guests to receive no-cost health services and education from a registered nurse on a walk-in basis, as well as basic wellness supplies such as band-aids and sunscreen.

Individuals experiencing homelessness need a safe place to spend their day. Our drop-in center Community Connections offers meals, showers, laundry, storage and supportive case management.

Housing Header_edited_edited.jpg

Housing

Our supportive housing model provides permanent, affordable housing to homeless individuals and families with complex needs. Beyond rent assistance, each tenant receives person-centered support and resources –
empowering them to maintain stable housing.

Children in supportive housing receive regular access to education and the tools they need to learn and grow, including backpacks, pencils and notebooks.

Filled with daily essentials such as dish soap, laundry detergent and potholders, these kits help homeless individuals and families settle into their very own homes.

Provide the ingredients our tenants need to stock their refrigerator and prepare healthy, satisfying meals from their own kitchen.

There’s no place like home. By covering the first month’s rent, you’ll make a homeless individual’s dreams come true by providing the keys to their very own apartment.

Meals

Our kitchen serves nearly 65,000 tasty, healthy and well-balanced meals across our programs each year, providing guests with the fuel they need to achieve their goals. Guests receive three meals a day, including breakfast, lunch and dinner.

We don’t have any products to show here right now.

Guests receive an energizing and nutritious breakfast each morning, setting them up for the day ahead.

A delicious and fulfilling dinner marks the end of the day for guests staying at Danielle's House.

Spices, oils and other specialty ingredients help our kitchen staff keep food flavorful and fun for our guests, who on average stay with us for a total of 52 days.

Whether it be a Fourth of July barbecue or a New Year’s Eve feast, a memorable meal helps our guests celebrate holidays and other special moments.
